In order to access STRI Arthropod Program data, you must first register as a site user and login. “Export permissions” can then be requested by email from the user dashboard. The email requires that the applicant agree to comply with the “Terms and Conditions” for the use of arthropod data as described here. A record is created in our user database for every Data Request. The prospective investigator should resubmit an email for each substantially different project.
In order to vouch for the accuracy of the data, and to capture a record of every use, prospective investigators are not permitted to share the data with other parties not included in the Data Request email.
Prospective investigators are not permitted to use the data for projects or analyses other than those explicitly described in the Data Request email. A new Data Request email must be submitted for any new use of data. Prospective investigators are also not permitted to sell the data, or use them in any way for commercial gain. The principal investigators of the STRI Arthropod Program reserve the right to deny access to the data, and to decide who should be included as co-authors on any paper.
